In 2018, in the face of new developments and changes in industry policies, healthcare reform, and the broader market, the company adhered to the new development philosophy, focused on key priorities while addressing weaknesses, acted with keen awareness of the times, pursued concrete and pragmatic results, and rose to challenges. Leveraging innovation as its driving force, the company adopted a “four-wheel drive” approach—innovation in products, markets, projects, and management—to powerfully accelerate its transition to high-quality development and make positive contributions to local economic and social progress.
In 2018, Shijiazhuang’s economy continued to flourish, with annual tax and fee revenue surpassing RMB 100 billion for the first time. Private enterprises played an indispensable role, accounting for half of the city’s total tax revenue; among them, the 100 top private taxpayers recognized for their contributions contributed 14% of the city’s total tax revenue, thereby laying a solid fiscal foundation for strengthening the provincial capital’s radiating and driving influence and accelerating the development of a modern provincial capital.
Li Yuan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Director of the Shijiazhuang Municipal Tax Service, stated that in 2018 the reform of the national and local tax collection and administration systems in Shijiazhuang was steadily advanced and successfully concluded. The year 2019 marks the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China and also the inaugural year for the newly established tax authorities. We will steadfastly uphold the principle of collecting revenue in accordance with the law, advance tax system reform in a steady and orderly manner, implement larger-scale tax reduction measures, continuously enhance taxpayers’ satisfaction, convenience, and comfort in handling tax matters, comprehensively promote efforts to optimize the business environment, and make new and greater contributions to building Shijiazhuang into a modern provincial capital and an economically strong city.
