Chairman Qu Jiguang Elected as a Member of the CPIA Standards Committee

【概要描述】 Recently, the Standards Working Professional Committee of the China Pharmaceutical Industry Association (CPIA) was established. Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the Company, was elected as a member of the inaugural Standards Committee.

Recently, the Standards Working Professional Committee of the China Pharmaceutical Industry Association (CPIA) was established. Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the Company, was elected as a member of the inaugural Standards Committee.
According to available information, the Standards Working Professional Committee of the China Chemical Pharmaceutical Industry Association was established under the new circumstances following China’s accession to the International Council for Harmonisation of Technical Requirements for Pharmaceuticals for Human Use, with the aim of enhancing drug quality. Its establishment was proposed by the National Pharmacopoeia Committee and subsequently approved through deliberation by the China Chemical Pharmaceutical Industry Association (CPIA).
The responsibilities of the Standards Committee are: to develop industry standards; to participate in the development and revision of national standards (including the Chinese Pharmacopoeia); and to organize training and study sessions on international standards, among other tasks.
The inaugural Chair of the Preparatory Standards Committee is Dr. Tu Jia-sheng, Executive Committee Member and Committee Member of the United States Pharmacopeia Convention, Member of the National Pharmacopoeia Commission, and Professor at China Pharmaceutical University; the Vice Chair is Professor Zhou Jian-ping of China Pharmaceutical University; and the committee members are the chairpersons of the respective relevant specialized committees.
