On January 20, the “10th China Pharmaceutical Industry Development Summit Forum Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening-Up and the 2018 Annual Meeting of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Pharmaceutical Chamber of Commerce” was held in Nanning, Guangxi. Hosted by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Pharmaceutical Chamber of Commerce, the event brought together industry leaders to mark this significant milestone. As a standing director unit of the chamber, our company was invited to attend the forum.
On January 20, the “Tribute to the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening-Up: The 10th China Pharmaceutical Industry Development Summit Forum and the 2018 Annual Meeting of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Pharmaceutical Chamber of Commerce” was held in Nanning, Guangxi. Hosted by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Pharmaceutical Chamber of Commerce, the event brought together nearly 500 guests, including our company—as an executive director unit of the Chamber—to discuss such hot topics as the current state and future prospects of China’s economy over the past 40 years of reform and opening-up, the development of the Chinese pharmaceutical industry, the inheritance of traditional Chinese culture, and the role of multi-ethnic medicinal practices in advancing the TCM industry.
The pharmaceutical industry serves as a vital foundation for the development of healthcare and health services, and is a burgeoning sector characterized by strong growth potential, extensive interconnections, and broad spillover effects. It has played a positive role in improving people’s livelihoods and stabilizing economic growth. The forum invited counselors to the State Council, leaders from relevant national authorities, and renowned industry experts to provide guidance. Zhuang Congsheng, former Vice Chairman of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce and President of the China Association for Private Economic Research, stated that over the past four decades of reform and opening-up, our country has achieved remarkable and globally recognized accomplishments in economic, social, cultural, and other fields. As the economy enters a new normal, entrepreneurs must also adapt their mindset, ways of thinking, production methods, and business models accordingly. Entrepreneurs must remain steadfast in their confidence, maintain high morale, strive unremittingly, dare to dream and act, focus on building core strengths, and continue to strengthen and optimize their enterprises.
Ren Dequan, former Deputy Director of the National Medical Products Administration, delivered a report titled “An Overview of the Development of China’s Pharmaceutical Industry over the 40 Years of Reform and Opening-Up,” providing a detailed analysis of the profound transformations the Chinese pharmaceutical industry has undergone during this period, as well as the new opportunities and challenges it faces in the new era.
At the subsequent annual gala dinner, awards were presented by the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce Pharmaceutical Industry Chamber of Commerce for 2018, including the titles of “Star-Level Vice President,” “Executive Director,” “Director,” “Member,” as well as “Outstanding Expert” and “Outstanding Branch Association.” The company was honored with the “Star-Level Executive Director” award for 2018.
