Building on the recognition of our city’s talent policies, Sun Lijie led his company’s team in focusing on innovative R&D mechanisms, strengthening research and development on major projects, breaking down technical barriers, and developing highly innovative, high-value-added products for the enterprise. He spearheaded the research and development of a quality-control system for soft packaging of large-volume infusions, which was subsequently established and put into practical application, earning the First Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from Hebei Province and being integrated into actual drug-development efforts.
Sun Lijie has led his team in collaborating with academician-led research groups, Tianjin University, Tsinghua University, China Pharmaceutical University, and other cutting-edge institutions to develop innovative drugs, striving to drive the company’s transformation and upgrading and propel it into the forefront of domestic pharmaceutical R&D. Currently, multiple Class 1 new drug candidates are under development, among which the innovative drug ADN-9 holds promise to fill the therapeutic gap in liver fibrosis treatment. At the same time, the company is advancing the development of novel formulation technologies, partnering with research institutes to create long-acting, targeted formulations such as microspheres, micronized crystals, and liposomal drugs.
“Following the implementation of the government’s talent-support policies, our company has placed even greater emphasis on talent development,” said Sun Lijie. “Leveraging existing talent-development platforms—such as key collaborative institutions with academicians, postdoctoral workstations, and Nobel Prize–affiliated research stations—we have cultivated 102 high-level professionals and recruited more than ten doctoral degree holders.”
