I will cherish this youthful memory forever.” On June 1, 110 graduating undergraduates and master’s students from 10 universities both within and outside the province—including China Pharmaceutical University, Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, Hebei Medical University, Hebei University of Science and Technology, Hebei College of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and Shijiazhuang College—successfully completed their half-semester internship and defense at Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group and, filled with joy, received the “Outstanding Intern” certificates presented by the company.

Among this cohort of intern students, China Pharmaceutical University alone has 44 participants, representing majors such as pharmaceutical preparations, medicinal chemistry, pharmaceutical analysis, pharmacy, and traditional Chinese medicine. During the internship, the students both familiarized themselves with the enterprise’s production and R&D operations and engaged in targeted discussions with the company’s mentor researchers, drawing on their coursework and graduation research projects. One student interning at the R&D Center of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group remarked: “My classmates and I came here specifically because of the company’s reputation. The organization has made exceptionally thorough and comprehensive preparations across the board, and the mentors assigned to guide us are highly experienced, down-to-earth, and extremely supportive of our professional studies.”

“Bringing in students from renowned universities for internships is an excellent way to accelerate talent development within our company, attract top talent, enhance our reputation, and pool resources for robust growth,” said Su Xuejun, Chairman of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical. Over the years, the company has spared no effort in creating favorable conditions for attracting, cultivating, and developing talent, establishing and implementing a talent strategy and operational mechanism that emphasizes “attracting people through career development, nurturing them through work, uniting them through shared success, and evaluating them based on performance.” Last year, the company forged strategic partnerships with China Pharmaceutical University, Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, Lanzhou University, Hebei Medical University, and other leading institutions, setting up internship and practical-training bases at the company for undergraduate and graduate students.

To ensure high-quality internship services and support for college students, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group has established a dedicated task force for university student internships and practical training. According to the head of human resources management at the R&D Center, each student is assigned a mentor who provides specialized guidance on their graduation thesis. In addition to offering free accommodation and meals and generous internship stipends, the company organizes a variety of enriching activities, including visits to the revolutionary holy site of Xibaipo, tours of the historic city of Zhengding, attendance at corporate R&D summary and recognition ceremonies, and the selection of outstanding interns. These initiatives aim to enhance students’ internship experience, deepen their understanding of the company and the city of Shijiazhuang, promote the image of Shijiazhuang, and attract more young talents to contribute to the development of the local industry and the city itself.
