On November 1, Taizhou Mayor Wan Wenhua conducted a field inspection in Xinghua City, visiting enterprises such as Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group’s Jiangsu Bosheng Medical New Materials Co., Ltd., as well as townships and industrial parks, to assess the development of local industries on the ground. Wan Wenhua emphasized the need to thoroughly study, publicize, and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China; to follow the decisions and arrangements of the provincial and municipal Party committees; to uphold green development; to strengthen signature industries; and to more vigorously promote the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries and the robust growth of emerging industries, thereby building momentum and empowering high-quality economic development and making greater contributions to the province’s efforts to “shoulder major responsibilities.”

At the Group’s Bosun Medical Devices facility, which has an annual production capacity of 6,000 tons of medical multilayer co-extruded films, Wan Wenhua listened attentively to a briefing by the company’s leadership on its operations and management, R&D innovation, and project development. Wan Wenhua encouraged the company to focus on the cutting edge of science and technology as well as the forefront of industry, to pursue continuous innovation, to constantly enhance its core competitiveness, and to move up the value chain toward the mid- to high-end segments.

During a field inspection in Xinghua City, Wan Wenhua emphasized the need to thoroughly study, publicize, and implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China; steadfastly uphold the overarching requirements of “containing the epidemic, stabilizing the economy, and ensuring secure development”; effectively coordinate epidemic prevention and control with economic and social development; fortify the barrier against the epidemic; and strive for the best possible outcomes in achieving the year’s economic development targets.

Wan Wenhua emphasized that, in line with the Municipal Party Committee’s strategic plan to “build one industrial system and four distinctive industrial clusters,” we must further elevate the level of our industries, deepen park reforms, and foster enterprise innovation, thereby building momentum and pooling strength for high-quality economic development. We must unswervingly regard project construction as the primary lever for stabilizing growth, optimizing the economic structure, and bolstering growth drivers; strengthen chain-based investment promotion, business-to-business investment attraction, and leadership-driven investment promotion; continuously attract large, high-caliber projects and new, high-quality enterprises; enhance the quality and efficiency of investment promotion; and strive to generate greater tangible results. We must adhere to green development, leverage our locational and ecological advantages to cultivate distinctive industrial clusters, drive industrial upgrading and transformation, and forge a new path in which the economy and the environment mutually integrate, coexist, and reinforce each other. Finally, we must comprehensively advance digital and intelligent empowerment initiatives, endeavor to establish a number of model enterprises and pilot projects, create more demonstration sites and support hubs, and promote the deep integration of the digital economy with the real economy.
