With seamless coordination between operators and robotic arms, boxes of arbidol hydrochloride capsules were inspected, packaged, and boxed before being smoothly rolled off the production line.
In response to the growing market demand for antiviral, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic-analgesic, and cough-and-phlegm-relieving medications, Shijiazhuang No.4 Pharmaceutical Group has, in recent days, mobilized resources and intensified production and sales coordination for high-demand products to ensure adequate market supply and strive to achieve its annual performance targets.
Recently, cities including Shanghai and Wuhan have successively released lists of four categories of commonly stocked household medications: cough suppressants, antipyretics, antivirals, and antibacterials. Several formulations manufactured by Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical—such as the antiviral drug arbidol hydrochloride capsules, the antibacterial agents azithromycin and cefdinir, and the expectorants ambroxol hydrochloride and bromhexine hydrochloride—have been included on these lists.
With the onset of flu season and in response to both clinical needs and the public’s demand for medications, Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical Group has promptly adjusted and integrated its operational functions—including procurement, production, quality control, sales, and logistics—while ramping up the procurement and stockpiling of raw materials and excipients. The company has also deployed its core personnel to key positions in production, quality assurance, and technical support to ensure that products are manufactured to high standards and that supply remains uninterrupted. Han Shuqin, Executive President and General Manager of the Manufacturing Center, stated: “In the face of market demand, we are enhancing production efficiency while maintaining stringent quality standards, thereby ensuring seamless pharmaceutical production and supply across the entire process.”
At Workshop 104 of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, a clean and well-organized ampoule injection production line is bustling with activity, churning out ambroxol hydrochloride injection. “This product is one of our company’s flagship offerings; its clinical usage surges during the winter and spring, making this peak sales season. With the Spring Festival just around the corner, many customers have already placed orders to stock up. As a manufacturer, ensuring a stable supply is not only our mission but also our responsibility,” said Han Shuqin. She added that more than 3,000 employees are steadfastly holding their posts, going all out to deliver strong performance in the fourth quarter and striving to achieve the year’s overall targets.
