Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group has once again delivered encouraging news in R&D and innovation: on May 8, two active pharmaceutical ingredients were approved on the same day. The group’s applications for urapidil hydrochloride and tofacitinib citrate APIs have been approved by the National Medical Products Administration, with these APIs now registered for use in marketed dosage forms. To date, the group has secured approval for seven API products this year.
Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group has once again reported encouraging news in R&D and innovation: on May 8, two active pharmaceutical ingredients were approved on the same day. The group’s applications for urapidil hydrochloride and tofacitinib citrate APIs have been approved by the National Medical Products Administration, with both now registered as APIs used in marketed dosage forms. To date this year, the group has secured approval for a total of seven API varieties.
According to available information, urapidil hydrochloride is primarily used for the treatment of hypertension, particularly severe hypertensive emergencies. Tofacitinib citrate is mainly indicated for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis.
According to reports, the group has so far obtained approval for 24 new products this year, maintaining a leading position in the industry in terms of development efficiency.
