On June 17–18, the inaugural Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei Pharmaceutical Innovation and Development Conference was held in the Xiong’an New Area, co-hosted by the Hebei Provincial Pharmaceutical Society, the Beijing Pharmaceutical Society, and the Tianjin Pharmaceutical Society, and jointly guided by the Chinese Pharmaceutical Society, the Management Committee of the Xiong’an New Area, and the Hebei Provincial Association for Science and Technology. Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group attended the conference as a co-organizer of the inaugural meeting of the Intravenous Medication Compounding and Management Professional Committee of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Society and the specialized symposium on “Rational Drug Use Management and Practice.”

According to reports, this conference aims to further advance coordinated development among Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei and the establishment of high-level innovation platforms for biopharmaceuticals; explore close integration among talent networks, innovation ecosystems, and industrial chains; accelerate the supplementation, extension, and strengthening of strategic emerging biopharmaceutical industries in the three regions; deepen the integrated development of industry, academia, research, and application across Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei; promote the commercialization of biopharmaceutical scientific and technological achievements; and support the relocation of non-capital functions from Beijing.

As a premier national forum for innovation and development in the pharmaceutical industry, the event brought together leading officials—including Bi Jingquan, Member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference and Deputy Director of its Economic Committee; Sun Xianze, President of the Chinese Pharmaceutical Association; and Zhang Boli, an Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering—as well as renowned academicians, distinguished scholars and experts in the domestic pharmaceutical field, leaders of government departments from the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region, and representatives from prominent pharmaceutical companies and medical institutions. Zhen Zhanjun, Executive President of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, and Wei Saili, Deputy General Manager of the Group’s R&D Center, were invited to attend several high-level academic conferences, where they engaged in extensive exchanges with attending experts and industry representatives to jointly explore new models for innovative development of the pharmaceutical sector in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region.

In the corporate image exhibition area, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group showcased its R&D and innovation achievements over the past two years, as well as newly approved products. These included innovative formulations such as the dual-valve, easy-break, upright polypropylene infusion bag; the dual-lumen, non-PVC multilayer co-extruded film infusion bag; bupropion tablets; and pentoxifylline injection (sustained-release tablets), along with several therapeutic products—such as argatroban injection and bromhexine hydrochloride injection—that have recently been added to the National Centralized Procurement Catalogue. These offerings drew significant attention from attending experts, strengthened industry collaboration and exchange, enhanced the brand image of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical, and further bolstered confidence in mutual cooperation.

As a leading domestic enterprise in the production, R&D, and export of large-volume parenteral solutions, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group has consistently adhered to an innovation-driven development philosophy, with its soft-bag IV solutions accounting for roughly half of the national market for such products. In particular, over the past two years, the company has aligned its innovation initiatives with the industrial value chain, positioning technological innovation as the cornerstone of its high-quality, sustainable growth. R&D investment now represents nearly 10% of the company’s core business revenue, effectively accelerating its transition onto a fast track of innovative development. To date, the company’s innovative research on generic drugs ranks among the top in the domestic industry. The rapid commercialization of these innovations continuously injects new momentum into the company’s high-quality development, robustly promoting and driving the optimization of its product portfolio and the upgrading of its market positioning, thereby helping it expedite transformation and upgrading and move up the value chain toward the mid- to high-end segments.
