On the afternoon of July 20, at the construction site of the novel formulation workshop for the Guolong Pharmaceutical New Formulation and Biopharmaceutical Industrial Park project under Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, Shi Jianhui, Secretary of the Party Committee and Executive President of the Group, together with union representatives, delivered sweet, refreshing watermelons to the construction workers who were diligently working under the scorching sun.

Since the start of the “Dog Days” period, temperatures have continued to soar, with scorching heat waves sweeping across outdoor spaces. The relentless high temperatures underscore the severity of the summer heat and pose a formidable challenge for project builders and outdoor workers. To effectively implement heat-prevention and cooling measures and ensure safe production during the summer, since July the trade union of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group has organized a “Cooling Delivery” campaign aimed at bringing relief to the workplace and showing heartfelt care. The union has visited and extended condolences to construction workers on the front lines of extreme heat, as well as to employees in open-air roles such as warehousing, transportation, and security, delivering heat-relief medications, watermelons, and refreshing beverages to provide much-needed support and comfort to those who remain steadfastly on duty throughout the summer.

Currently, the new formulation workshop of the Group’s Guolong Pharmaceutical New-Formulation and Biopharmaceutical Industrial Park project has entered the critical phase of equipment and facility installation. To ensure early completion, commissioning, and realization of benefits, the Group’s Engineering Management Center and Equipment & Environmental Protection Center, together with more than 300 construction workers, are racing against time and working around the clock on the front lines to accelerate project progress and proactively position the Group for the successful fulfillment of its annual business objectives.

At construction sites and logistics hubs, work is in full swing. Construction workers, along with warehousing and security personnel, are braving the scorching heat to hold their ground, working tirelessly and meticulously to make every minute count. Union representatives from the Group have brought freshly cut, ice-cold, sweet watermelons and refreshing beverages to workers who have just finished their shifts, offering a well-deserved respite from the relentless summer sun. They expressed gratitude for the workers’ unwavering dedication and hard work in such extreme temperatures, while reminding everyone to take thorough precautions against the heat to safeguard their health and ensure safe operations.

On these sweltering summer days, cool relief is delivered straight to the heart—every drop of care brings warmth and comfort. The “Cooling Relief” initiative has greatly inspired the vast ranks of project builders and employees working on the front lines. All have pledged to transform this heartfelt support into renewed motivation, approaching their work with even greater enthusiasm and dedication. They are committed to staying firmly rooted in their roles, tackling tough challenges head-on, and ensuring the high-quality completion of project construction as well as production and operational tasks.
