On August 9, Wan Xiaoming, Vice Chairman of the Hebei Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, conducted a research visit to Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group to examine the deepening reform of the industrial workforce development.
On August 9, Wan Xiaoming, Vice Chairman of the Hebei Provincial Federation of Trade Unions, conducted a research visit to Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group to explore ways to deepen the reform of building the industrial workforce.
Wan Xiaoming and his delegation listened attentively to a briefing by Cui Yongbin, Chairman of Guangxiang Pharmaceutical, on the company’s production and operations, R&D innovation, workforce development, and strategic plans for future growth. They commended Guangxiang Pharmaceutical for seizing the opportunities presented by the coordinated development of the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region and for achieving remarkable results in driving high-quality, innovative development of its active pharmaceutical ingredients.
During the briefing and exchange, Yang Huiling, Chairperson of the Trade Union of Guangxiang Pharmaceutical, reported to Wan Xiaoming and his delegation on the company’s efforts to build a robust workforce of industrial workers. Since its establishment, Guangxiang Pharmaceutical has tailored its initiatives to the specific characteristics of the industry and its employees by establishing and implementing a “vocational skills training system,” a “worker technician program,” and an “educational advancement subsidy policy for current employees.” These measures have positioned the deepening development of the industrial workforce as a critical pillar and foundational guarantee for advancing the company’s strategies of revitalizing the enterprise through science and technology, strengthening it with talent, driving innovation, and achieving high-quality development. By streamlining career-development pathways, safeguarding employees’ rights in accordance with the law, and fully motivating employees to take initiative and demonstrate enthusiasm in their work, the company has continuously enhanced employees’ sense of fulfillment, happiness, and security, thereby providing strong impetus for innovative, high-quality growth.
At the meeting, Wan Xiaoming commended Guangxiang Pharmaceutical for its achievements in the reform of building the industrial workforce. He stated that, as we embark on a new era and a new journey, it is essential to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important speeches, fully mobilize the enthusiasm, initiative, and creativity of the broad ranks of industrial workers, and better pool the wisdom and strength of the industrial workforce. We must strengthen ideological guidance, encouraging enterprises to formulate plans and systems for cultivating and training technical workers in light of their production, operations, and technological innovation needs, thereby accelerating the transformation of the industry toward intelligence, digitalization, and green development. We must focus on skills enhancement by organizing labor skill competitions and technical contests to showcase the contemporary spirit of industrial workers, smooth the pathway for industrial workers to transition into technical roles, and expedite the identification and nurturing of top-tier skilled talent. Finally, we must prioritize the protection of workers’ rights and interests, innovate systems for the development of industrial workers, safeguard their immediate interests, foster a social climate that respects labor, values skills, and encourages innovation, and accelerate the building of a large contingent of knowledge-based, skills-oriented, and innovation-driven industrial workers.
