On October 9, Nicorandil, submitted by Hebei Guolong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, was approved by the National Medical Products Administration and registered as an active pharmaceutical ingredient for use in marketed dosage forms. This marks the 13th API variety approved for the group so far this year.

This marks the 13th API approved for the group so far this year.
According to available information, nicorandil dilates coronary arteries, sustainably increases coronary blood flow, and inhibits coronary spasm; it is primarily used for the treatment of angina pectoris.
In recent years, the Group has focused on innovation across the industrial value chain and on seizing market opportunities, continuously striving to strengthen and expand its capabilities in the active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) sector. It has accelerated the development of specialized, sophisticated, and novel API products, while actively enhancing the API business segment’s support for and contribution to the Group’s overall growth, thereby driving the Group’s innovative, high-quality development. In September of this year, the Group secured approval for three new API products: levosalbutamol hydrochloride, salbutamol sulfate, and entacapone.
