This competition featured a total of eight teams from the Group. After 14 intense matches, four teams—the Operations Branch, the High-tech Zone First Branch, the Departmental Third Branch, and the High-tech Zone Second Branch—advanced to the finals thanks to their strong performance. The Operations Branch team and the High-tech Zone First Branch team will now compete for first and second place.
“A clash on a narrow court”—the area around the arena drew a large crowd of employees eager to watch. At the crisp sound of the whistle, the championship, runner-up, and third-place playoff for the basketball tournament officially began. As the final match of the event, both teams fielded players brimming with fighting spirit, executing seamless moves such as catching and pivoting, blocking and stealing, and fierce rebounding—actions that kept the spectators on the edge of their seats. With the score seesawing back and forth, the atmosphere at the venue grew increasingly electric, punctuated by waves of applause, cheers, and shouts of encouragement.
As the final whistle blew, the Management Branch team emerged victorious over the High-tech Zone First Branch team with a score of 62 to 50, clinching the championship. During the awards ceremony, group leaders Wei Wenliang, Wang Hongliang, and Huang Xiaofeng presented trophies and medals to the first-, second-, and third-place teams, respectively. Wei Wenliang then presented the “Most Valuable Player (MVP)” award to Meng Mingqi from the High-tech Zone First Branch’s Workshop 105, prompting enthusiastic applause from the audience in celebration.
A member of the Business Branch team said excitedly, “We’re thrilled to have won the championship today. We’ll definitely carry this same enthusiasm into our work and strive for even greater achievements.”
Huang Xiaofeng, head of the event and Chairman of the Group Trade Union, stated that this factory-anniversary basketball tournament achieved excellent results, fostering unity and boosting morale. It has injected renewed enthusiasm and momentum into our final-quarter sprint to fully accomplish the year’s strategic objectives. He expressed the hope that all employees will carry the spirited, tenacious, and relentlessly ambitious fighting spirit demonstrated on the court into their daily work, striving to contribute their wisdom and strength to the Group’s innovative, high-quality development.
