On February 27, the glipizide tablets (80 mg) submitted by Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group were approved by the National Medical Products Administration, having passed the evaluation of quality and therapeutic equivalence for generic drugs. To date, the Group has had a total of 100 product specifications across 75 varieties either approved or deemed to have passed the consistency evaluation.

According to available information, gliclazide tablets are a second-generation sulfonylurea indicated for adult patients with type 2 diabetes whose glycemic control is inadequate despite dietary management, regular physical activity, and weight loss.
