Recently, the Taizhou Municipal Science and Technology Bureau officially released the list of approved municipal-level key laboratory projects for 2024, under which the Pharmaceutical Packaging Materials Research Institute of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group Jiangsu Bosheng Medical New Materials Co., Ltd. was designated as the Taizhou Municipal Key Laboratory for Pharmaceutical Packaging Materials. This achievement marks another significant milestone in Bosheng Medical’s efforts to build innovation platforms, following its previous recognitions as a Jiangsu Provincial Enterprise Technology Center, a Jiangsu Provincial Engineering Technology Research Center, and a Taizhou Municipal Engineering Research Center. It also represents the first science-and-technology-related accreditation obtained by the Bosheng Pharmaceutical Packaging Materials Research Institute since its establishment.

In recent years, Bosheng Medical Devices has vigorously implemented an innovation-driven development strategy, continuously enhancing its capacity to generate original innovations. In accordance with the Group’s unified deployment, the company has integrated its former Rubber Stopper R&D Center, Co-extruded Film R&D Center, and Central Laboratory to establish a brand-new Pharmaceutical Packaging Materials Research Institute. The institute is designed to further strengthen fundamental, innovative, and forward-looking research on rubber stoppers, co-extruded films, and cutting-edge medical packaging materials; to accelerate new-product development and technological upgrades; and to empower the company’s high-quality development to reach a new level.
According to available information, the Taizhou Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government aim, through the construction of Taizhou Key Laboratories, to support and guide key enterprises across the city in conducting basic research, applied basic research, and cutting-edge scientific research in frontier science, fundamental science, and engineering science; to strengthen the R&D of critical core technologies and the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements; to undertake major science and technology projects; and to provide the necessary platform and institutional support for future designation as National Key Laboratories or Jiangsu Provincial Key Laboratories. Following procedures that include enterprise applications, local government recommendations, expert reviews, and public announcements, a total of three laboratories from enterprises in Xinghua City have now been recognized as Taizhou Key Laboratories.
A responsible official from Bosheng Medical Devices stated that, as the next step, the company will take this designation as a municipal-level key laboratory as an opportunity to continuously strengthen the implementation and management of project construction, further refine the institutional mechanisms of its innovation platform, orient its efforts toward market and industrial-chain needs, accelerate the research and development of pioneering and innovative products, and thereby support the enterprise in upgrading its operations, enhancing quality, and improving efficiency.
