On the morning of November 19, the inaugural Hebei Provincial Industrial Workers’ Innovation Forum was inaugurated. As the first rotating chair of the Yan Zhao Women Craftsmen Biopharmaceutical Innovation Alliance and the leader of the Weisaili Innovation Studio at Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical, Weisaili briefed leaders of provincial and municipal federations of trade unions and other guests on the company’s R&D innovations and industrialization achievements during the forum.
On the morning of November 19, the inaugural Hebei Provincial Industrial Workers’ Innovation Forum was inaugurated. As the inaugural rotating chair of the Yanzhao Women Craftsmen Biopharmaceutical Innovation Alliance and the leader of the Weisaili Innovation Studio at Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical, Weisaili briefed leaders of provincial and municipal federations of trade unions and other guests on the company’s R&D innovations and industrialization achievements during the forum.
“These are our two innovative products: buxanerine for psychiatric disorders (schizophrenia) and stiripentol for pediatric epilepsy. Both drugs were developed entirely in-house, and we have now established dual-track production capabilities covering both active pharmaceutical ingredients and finished dosage forms,” Wei Saili explained. She added that the successful development of these key technologies has laid a solid foundation for achieving domestic production of pharmaceuticals and better supporting the Healthy China initiative.
The “Yanzhao Women Craftsmen Biopharmaceutical Innovation Alliance” was established in December 2023. It is composed of corporate R&D centers led by female scientists and engineers, model worker and craftsman innovation studios, hospitals, and universities. Since its inception, the Alliance has secured 18 provincial-level key research projects, achieved 27 project outcomes, and obtained 14 national patents. Over the past year, the Wei Sairi Innovation Studio at Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical has attained numerous research breakthroughs in the innovative development and commercialization of active pharmaceutical ingredients, including being the first domestically approved product for bupropion, as well as achieving industry-leading yields for raw materials such as moxifloxacin hydrochloride and sitagliptin. Currently, Wei Sairi’s research team is playing an active role in advancing the Group’s applications for new drug approvals involving API products.
According to available information, the inaugural Hebei Provincial Industrial Workers’ Innovation Forum is an innovation exchange event organized by the Hebei Provincial Federation of Trade Unions and co-hosted by the Hebei Provincial Federation of Trade Unions for Equipment Manufacturing and Metallurgy and the Hebei Provincial Federation of Trade Unions for Construction and Building Materials. The event is being held in accordance with the requirements set forth in the “Notice on Launching the Inaugural Hebei Provincial Industrial Workers’ Innovation Forum,” and has brought together 24 model worker and artisan talent innovation studios (or alliances) from enterprises and public institutions across all prefecture-level cities in the province.
