On December 14, the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei Conference on the Co-construction and Sharing of Innovative Application Scenarios was held in Shijiazhuang. During the conference, the top ten co-built and shared application scenarios from the past year and more were unveiled, highlighting the significant role and remarkable achievements of Hebei’s innovative application scenarios in advancing cutting-edge technologies, empowering industrial upgrading, and supporting collaborative innovation across the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region. Notably, the innovative application scenario for new drug R&D at Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical was selected as one of the “Top Ten Co-built and Shared Application Scenarios” in the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region.

“From the R&D of new technologies and products to the eventual emergence of new industries, new business models, and new drivers of growth, application scenarios are increasingly serving as crucial platforms and connecting links,” said a relevant official from the Hebei Provincial Department of Science and Technology. Since June last year, Hebei has leveraged scenario-based innovation to boost industrial development, having publicly released 179 provincial-level application scenarios, provided services to more than 1,000 enterprises, facilitated the signing of 120 cooperation agreements, and promoted the validation and application of 528 advanced technological achievements.

In recent years, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical has collaborated with Beijing-based pharmaceutical innovation companies to advance drug R&D through initiatives such as open-formulation development, efficacy trials, and pilot production. As a result, its generic formulation—cefuroxime axetil dry suspension (0.25 g)—was the first in China to receive approval and launch this year. Since the beginning of this year, Shijiazhuang Sihua has fully leveraged the innovative resources of the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region, pursuing innovation with relentless momentum. Its sustained efforts have yielded substantial results: the company has secured approval for 77 new formulations and active pharmaceutical ingredients, and 110 product varieties comprising 145 specifications have either passed or been deemed to have passed the evaluation of generic drug quality and therapeutic equivalence, thereby expanding market access to more affordable and readily available products.

“These scenarios have attracted a wave of new technologies and products from the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei region to be piloted and deployed for the first time in Hebei, spurring the growth and expansion of a number of high-growth, technology-driven enterprises and driving the upgrading of traditional industries, the robust development of emerging industries, and the cultivation of future-oriented industries,” said a spokesperson from the Provincial Department of Science and Technology. “The joint construction and sharing among Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei has built a bridge for scenario-based innovation and established a collaborative innovation chain, with ten key scenarios paving the way for a ‘highway’ of deep integration between science and technology and industry.”

A spokesperson for the Group stated that it will proactively align with national strategies, target the cutting edge of science and technology and the commanding heights of industrial development, and leverage its integrated “API-plus-formulation” business model. By capitalizing on Hebei’s abundant scenario-resource advantages, the Group will deepen collaborative linkages among Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei in areas such as technology, industry, capital, and talent; reinforce its role as the primary driver of technological innovation; accelerate the establishment of innovation consortia; and systematically identify and develop new application scenarios for technologies that are forward-looking, innovative, and practical. Through these efforts, the Group aims to continuously enhance its core competitiveness and propel its high-quality, innovation-driven development to a new level.
