Attending the signing ceremony were Zhang Fangru, Vice President of Xuzhou Institute of Industrial Technology; Zhou Shuhui, Secretary of the Party Branch of the School of Materials Engineering; Liu Feng, Dean of the School; and Li Ligong, General Manager of Bosheng Medical Materials. The ceremony was presided over by Wang Chixi, Deputy Secretary of the Party General Branch of the School of Materials Engineering at Xuzhou Institute of Industrial Technology.

On December 13, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group’s Jiangsu Bosheng Medical New Materials Co., Ltd. and Xuzhou Institute of Industrial Technology once again achieved significant results in their industry–university cooperation by signing an agreement to jointly establish the “Bosheng Medical Materials Class,” working together to cultivate application-oriented professionals in polymer materials. Zhang Fangru, Vice President of Xuzhou Institute of Industrial Technology; Zhou Shuhui, Secretary of the Party Branch of the School of Materials Engineering; Liu Feng, Dean of the School; and Li Ligong, General Manager of Bosheng Medical Materials, attended the signing ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Wang Chixi, Deputy Secretary of the Party General Branch of the School of Materials Engineering at Xuzhou Institute of Industrial Technology.

Zhang Fangru, Vice President of Xugong Institute of Technology, stated that the establishment of the joint training program marks another significant milestone in the institution’s collaboration with industry. Through its partnership with Bosheng Medical Devices, the institute will be able to provide students with a broader platform for hands-on practice, thereby substantially enhancing their practical skills and professional competence. At the same time, by leveraging the strengths of the enterprise, Xugong Institute of Technology will continue to refine its curriculum design and teaching methodologies, consistently improve the quality of education, and further strengthen the bridge between the institution and the enterprise, building a solid foundation for sustained development.

Li Ligong stated that the establishment of the school–enterprise co-built class is aimed at supporting the development of higher education and cultivating a pool of high-caliber talent for enterprises, while also serving as a concrete manifestation of enterprises’ efforts to deepen talent recruitment and development. By jointly establishing the “Bosheng Medical Devices Class,” both the university and the enterprise will fully leverage their respective strengths and resources, ensuring that corporate culture and employees’ professional skills are continuously integrated and effectively implemented within the university classroom, thereby injecting fresh vitality into talent selection and the enterprise’s high-quality development.

According to available information, the “Bosheng Medical Devices Program” is now open for enrollment to students majoring in Polymer Materials at the School of Materials Engineering of XCMG Institute. Outstanding students are selected through a recommendation-and-selection process, and a total of 73 students from the Class of 2024 in the Materials program have been admitted so far, including 44 associate-degree students and 23 bachelor’s-degree students.

As a key partner in the school–enterprise collaboration with Bosheng Medical Devices, leaders from XCMG Vocational College and heads of relevant departments have conducted multiple fact-finding visits to Bosheng Medical Devices, engaging in in-depth discussions with company executives on such initiatives as jointly establishing the Bosheng Medical Devices Class, student internships and employment, and industry–university–research cooperation. The successful launch of this joint program serves as a model case for exploring additional collaboration models between the two parties. Moving forward, both sides will continue to deepen their school–enterprise partnership, further refine the operational mechanisms and management framework of the joint class, promote the integrated development of industry and education, accelerate the cultivation of more high-caliber, application-oriented professionals, and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for students, the institution, and the enterprise.

According to reports, Xuzhou Institute of Industrial Technology is a provincially administered, public, full-time institution of higher education in Jiangsu Province, designated as a key construction unit for China’s high-level specialty clusters with Chinese characteristics and as a high-level vocational college in Jiangsu Province. Its School of Materials Engineering serves as the core construction unit for the China-characteristic, high-level specialty cluster in Polymer Materials Engineering Technology (now renamed Polymer Materials Intelligent Manufacturing Technology) and also holds the position of chair unit of the National Specialized Committee on Intelligent Manufacturing of Polymer Materials. The school offers two distinctive specialties—Polymer Materials Intelligent Manufacturing Technology and Rubber Intelligent Manufacturing Technology—which have garnered significant attention and high praise from the industry.
