To further advance judicial protection of intellectual property rights and help optimize the rule-of-law business environment, during the 2025 National Intellectual Property Public Awareness Week, Wang Huitu, a full-time member of the Adjudication Committee of the Shijiazhuang High-tech Industrial Development Zone People’s Court, led an intellectual property adjudication team on a special research visit to Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. under the initiative “Judicial Protection for Enterprises to Promote Innovation.” Through on-site consultations combined with targeted policy measures, the initiative aims to deepen judicial services for intellectual property. Leaders from the Group’s Legal Affairs Center and R&D Center attended the event.

A research team from the Shijiazhuang High-tech Industrial Development Zone People’s Court conducted an in-depth visit to the Group’s R&D Center, engaging in thorough discussions with the company’s heads of intellectual property protection and legal affairs. Focusing on such topical issues as trade secret protection, patent portfolio optimization, and cross-border IP disputes, the team provided tailored, “one-on-one” legal assessments based on specific case studies.

The research team of the High-tech Zone People’s Court provided an interpretation of the Supreme People’s Court’s latest judicial policy on intellectual property, offering legal advice on issues of particular concern to enterprises, such as the early dispute-resolution mechanism for pharmaceutical patent disputes, risk prevention and control in technology contracts, and challenges encountered in patent applications. The team also solicited enterprises’ views and suggestions on the people’s courts’ judicial protection of intellectual property. A responsible official in charge of intellectual property protection at the Group expressed gratitude for the people’s courts’ “diagnostic” judicial services, and expressed the hope that future collaboration and communication with the courts would be strengthened to help enhance independent innovation capabilities, raise awareness of intellectual property protection, and promote the high-quality development of biopharmaceutical enterprises.

As one of China’s top 100 pharmaceutical companies, the Group has in recent years placed great emphasis on intellectual property protection, continuously refining its related management systems and intensifying efforts to cultivate high-value patent portfolios, conduct patent-driven strategic planning, and advance the industrial application of patents through project applications. With a strong focus on in-house implementation, the Group has achieved rapid growth in both the number of patent applications filed and the number of patents granted, earning recognition as a “National Intellectual Property Advantage Enterprise” and a “National Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprise.” To date, Sihua Pharmaceutical has filed a total of 535 patent applications and obtained 338 grants, including 171 invention patents, thereby providing robust support for the company’s innovative, high-quality development.
