On April 28, the chemical API of allopurinol developed by Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, was approved by the National Medical Products Administration, with its registration status changed to “A,” thereby obtaining approval for use as an API in marketed pharmaceutical formulations.

To date, the Group has obtained a total of 75 API registration approvals, with Guangxiang Pharmaceutical accounting for 44 of these. Overall, the business is demonstrating steady growth.
According to available information, allopurinol is primarily used to treat gout and hyperuricemia.
