On May 13, the Hebei Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce held the inaugural meeting of the Provincial Business Associations Joint Council and launched the “‘Thousand Associations, Ten Thousand Enterprises’ Initiative to Bolster Confidence, Boost Consumption, and Support Development.” The council was established under the auspices of the Hebei Provincial Federation of Industry and Commerce, with 23 provincial-level business associations serving as founding members. Its purpose is to create a new platform for exchange and cooperation among business associations, encourage association leaders and corporate executives to actively assume social responsibility, guide member enterprises in engaging in both intra-provincial and inter-provincial, as well as domestic and international, collaborations, and unite and consolidate the strength of private enterprises across the province.

The Joint Conference of Trade Associations in Hebei Province will organize member units and member enterprises to conduct field visits and exchanges, promote economic and trade cooperation, and actively facilitate the organic integration of upstream and downstream links in industrial chains. It will also provide technical, informational, legal, and management consulting services to support the province’s leading industries and county-level specialized industrial clusters.

At the meeting, all member units of the joint conference issued the initiative “‘Thousands of Associations and Ten Thousand Enterprises’ to Bolster Confidence, Stimulate Consumption, and Support Development,” aimed at leveraging the strengths of business associations and chambers of commerce to further strengthen confidence in development, invigorate consumer spending, and promote the high-quality development of the private sector across the province. Three enterprises, including Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, delivered exchange speeches.

In their remarks, relevant leaders of the Group stated that they will actively respond to the initiative, steadfastly uphold the mission of “Healthy China,” stay focused on their core business, and fulfill their responsibilities through development. They will strive to shoulder heavy responsibilities and deliver on their mission by ensuring stable employment, stable enterprises, stable markets, and stable market expectations. To this end, they will concentrate on technological innovation to bolster confidence and build a robust engine for high-quality development; closely align with national strategies and unmet clinical needs; and endeavor to achieve new breakthroughs in areas such as innovative drugs, high-end formulations, and specialty APIs, thereby developing and producing more and better “Made-in-China” medicines. They will also focus on grassroots services to promote universal access and lay a solid foundation for national health security, continuously enhancing product accessibility and strengthening their capacity to support Healthy China. By leveraging new industrialization to create new competitive advantages, they will provide firm support for stable employment and stable markets. Furthermore, they will emphasize industrial synergy to drive development, fully leveraging the role of leading enterprises in the value chain, and actively implementing a coordinated “three-chain synergy” initiative that integrates the industrial chain, the innovation chain, and the supply chain. This effort will continually empower and improve the responsiveness of upstream and downstream players in the value chain, promote quality and efficiency improvements among chain members, and sustainably optimize the industrial ecosystem, thereby demonstrating corporate responsibility in collaborative industrial development and ensuring that the fruits of high-quality development benefit public health more broadly.

During the meeting, relevant authorities were also invited to present and explain policies and measures supporting the high-quality development of private enterprises, while participating banks outlined their financial service initiatives and products.
