Wu Hengyao, Shi Jianhui, and Sun Lijie, members of the group’s leadership, attended the event.

Dr. Ho Wing-kei, Assistant Dean of the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine at the University of Hong Kong, delivered a special lecture titled “AI Reshaping the Healthcare Ecosystem: From Precision Medicine to an Educational Revolution.” Wu Hengyao, Shi Jianhui, and Sun Lijie, leaders of the Group, attended the event.
He Yongji is the Director of the Master’s Program in Biomedical Innovation at the Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine, The University of Hong Kong, Deputy Director for Teaching Technology (Artificial Intelligence), and an Associate Professor. His research focuses on the development of scalable computational methods, with particular expertise in single-cell omics data analysis, metagenomic data interpretation, and applications of digital health data.
After nearly two hours, the lecture was delivered entirely in English. Drawing on his own research findings and the University of Hong Kong’s Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine’s innovative integration of artificial intelligence, big data, and digital health into its medical curriculum, he shared how AI-assisted diagnostic technologies can be implemented through virtual patient simulation programs. The lecture focused on how this technology helps medical students gain a deeper understanding of AI, enhances the precision of clinical decision-making, and strengthens their capacity for data-driven healthcare practice.
The lecture hall was packed, with the audience hanging on every word and breaking into applause again and again. A research and development professional from the group remarked that the session provided a comprehensive overview of the vast potential applications of AI in reshaping the healthcare ecosystem, offering valuable insights and inspiration for the “AI + pharmaceuticals” sector. They expressed hope that these cutting-edge technologies will drive further transformation and deliver exciting breakthroughs in the high-quality development of the biopharmaceutical industry.
Relevant officials from the governments and management committees of all counties (cities and districts), as well as from relevant municipal departments, municipal universities, research institutes, and key enterprises, together with citizen representatives, attended the lecture on site.
According to reports, the “Shijiazhuang Science and Technology Lecture Series” is initiated and organized by the Shijiazhuang Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology. The initiative aims to strengthen the city’s innovation awareness, enhance its innovative capabilities, and foster a high-quality environment for innovative development.
