“Spring’s vibrant hues brush the brush, capturing the splendor of a prosperous era; with unwavering resolve and lofty aspirations, we compose a glorious chapter.” As the Spring Festival of the Year of the Rat—Gengzi—draws near, Zhang Juhua, Secretary of the CPC Gaocheng District Committee, led a delegation to extend warm greetings and heartfelt condolences to Dr. Sun Lijie and Dr. Wei Seli, two high-level talents at our company. On behalf of the District Party Committee and the District Government, he conveyed sincere New Year wishes to them and, through them, extended festive greetings to all the company’s scientific and technological professionals. He encouraged everyone to bravely tackle tough challenges, devote themselves wholeheartedly to the practice of scientific and technological innovation, and better serve the local economic and social development.

At 3:00 p.m. on January 21, Zhang Juhua, Secretary of the CPC Gaocheng District Committee, and Yan Juntang, Head of the Organization Department of the District Committee, together with Wu Gaiqiu, Director of the Management Committee of the Shijiazhuang Economic Development Zone, and Jia Shuli, Deputy Director, paid a cordial visit to enterprises to extend their greetings and condolences to two high-level talents, Sun Lijie and Wei Seli. As soon as Secretary Zhang Juhua stepped out of the car, he conveyed warm wishes to Sun Lijie—recipient of the Provincial “Hundred Talents Program,” Assistant to the General Manager, and Director of the Pharmaceutical Research Institute—and to Wei Seli—Provincial Outstanding Young Talent, Senior Researcher at the Pharmaceutical Research Institute, and Head of Division One of the API Research Institute—saying, “Happy New Year in advance, Dr. Sun and Dr. Wei! We are deeply grateful for your contributions to the innovative development of both the company and Gaocheng District!”

Secretary Zhang Juhua inquired with genuine concern about the work and living conditions of Sun Lijie and Wei Seli. Upon learning that NP-01, a Class 1 chemical new drug jointly developed with domestic research institutions, is a novel small-molecule compound with independent intellectual property rights—its patent has already been granted in China, the United States, and Europe—and that the drug has recently been accepted for review by the Center for Drug Evaluation of the National Medical Products Administration of China, with prospects for industrial implementation in Gaocheng in the future, he expressed great satisfaction and warmly encouraged them: “Continue to invest heavily in the research and development of innovative drugs to benefit public health and the local economy.”

Dr. Sun Lijie, on behalf of the company’s scientific and technological personnel, expressed heartfelt gratitude for the warm encouragement from the leaders of Gaocheng District. He stated that, as scientists and engineers in the new era, they feel a profound sense of responsibility and will seize every moment, cherish their youthful years, redouble their efforts, live up to their mission, and repay the leadership’s care and the enterprise’s high expectations with outstanding achievements.

Zhang Juhua listened attentively to Chairman Su Xuejun’s briefing on the company’s achievements in talent development and innovation over recent years, and encouraged the team to continue striving for excellence, scale new heights, and make greater contributions to local development while setting new milestones.

He provided Sun Lijie and Dr. Wei Seli with a detailed briefing on the economic and talent-development environment in Gaocheng District, expressing gratitude for the significant contributions made by the district’s broad contingent of science-and-technology professionals to Gaocheng’s economic and social development. He emphasized that development is the top priority, talent is the primary resource, and innovation is the principal driving force. At present, Gaocheng District is at a critical juncture in accelerating its transformation and development, making it imperative to harness the leading role of scientific and technological innovation. He urged all science-and-technology professionals to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important thought on scientific and technological innovation, to strengthen their confidence and resolve in pursuing independent innovation, to dedicate themselves to their respective posts and achieve outstanding results, to expedite breakthroughs in core technologies, to continuously generate innovative scientific and technological achievements, to promote the commercialization and application of these innovations, and to strive to contribute greater wisdom to high-quality development.

“It is essential to continuously improve the science and technology service system, wholeheartedly enhance the quality of services, proactively establish platforms for scientific and technological innovation, and make every possible effort to create a better environment and atmosphere that enables scientific and technological personnel to fully leverage their strengths and talents. In doing so, we must maximize the entrepreneurial enthusiasm and innovative vitality of all types of talent, thereby laying a solid foundation for scientists and engineers to achieve remarkable accomplishments in this new era,” he stated, addressing the officials from relevant departments of Gaocheng District who had accompanied him on the visit.
