On September 17, the highly anticipated Fi Asia Thailand 2025—Asia’s premier food ingredients exhibition—grandly opened at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, Thailand. The API business team from Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group showcased a wide array of signature products from its subsidiaries, Guangxiang Pharmaceutical and Guolong Pharmaceutical, at the event.
According to reports, the exhibition was first launched in 1994 and has since provided a vast market platform for food raw materials and ingredients across Southeast Asia. This year’s event brings together 700 exhibitors from around the globe and is expected to attract 23,000 professional visitors, underscoring its pivotal role as a major hub for food trade in Asia.
At the exhibition, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group’s display of bulk and specialty APIs drew numerous industry professionals who stopped to inquire. Among them, its flagship product—caffeine—thanks to its EU CEP certification, became a hot topic of discussion among both new and existing customers. Meanwhile, key products such as azithromycin and theophylline also won widespread acclaim from attendees for their strong market potential.
In recent years, the Group has consistently strengthened its API business, establishing a phased innovation model characterized by “developing a batch, commercializing a batch, and stockpiling a batch.” To date, it has secured approval for 84 new API products, thereby forging an innovative API development landscape that is led by specialty APIs and supported by bulk APIs.
“A robust product portfolio provides us with a solid foundation for further expanding into international markets,” said the group’s head of API export. “Through face-to-face interactions with customers from around the world at trade shows, we have gained a more direct understanding of market demand trends and shifts in Southeast Asia, enabling us to develop this regional market in a targeted and strategic manner.”
“While consolidating our existing customer partnerships, we have also established preliminary contacts with nearly 30 new clients, particularly buyers from Southeast Asia, who have shown strong interest in our products,” said the Group’s head of API international trade. “Going forward, we will leverage product innovation, channel development, and brand promotion in a coordinated manner to continuously enhance the Group’s competitiveness and market influence for APIs on the global stage and further elevate the ‘Shisiyao’ brand.”
