On January 29, relevant officials from the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and the Shijiazhuang Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology conducted successive on-site inspections and provided guidance at the company’s oral dosage-form workshop, specifically at the arbidol production line, to oversee the organization of production for the current clinical emergency medication used to treat pneumonia caused by novel coronavirus infection.

Relevant officials from the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology conducted on-site visits to enterprises to coordinate and provide guidance on the organization of emergency medicine production.

Relevant officials from the provincial and municipal departments of industry and information technology listened to briefings by Wu Hengyao, General Manager of the company, and Han Shuqin, Deputy General Manager, on the production and stockpiling of emergency medicines for combating the epidemic. The officials from the provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the selfless dedication demonstrated by the employees of Siyao at a critical moment—putting the greater good before personal interests.

Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus pneumonia epidemic, the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology has made all-out efforts to ensure the supply of epidemic prevention and control materials and equipment. The department has actively coordinated with manufacturing enterprises across the province to mobilize employees to resume work in full, operate at maximum capacity, and significantly increase production to meet market demand. In addition, the department dispatched a team of 22 personnel to companies such as Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical to oversee production and provide on-site guidance on epidemic response measures. At the same time, it has directed the industrial and information technology authorities of all cities to closely monitor production progress, promptly coordinate and resolve issues related to the supply of raw materials, financing for production, labor availability, and product transportation, and other essential support needs, thereby helping enterprises overcome practical difficulties and challenges, ensuring the quality and safety of emergency supplies, and guaranteeing timely supply by enterprises.

General Manager Wu Hengyao and Deputy General Manager Han Shuqin appealed to the departments of industry and information technology for coordinated assistance in addressing urgent issues, including difficulties faced by enterprise employees in returning to work after the Chinese New Year, shortages of raw and auxiliary materials, and restrictions on road transportation within the region. In response, relevant officials from the provincial and municipal departments of industry and information technology stated that, under the current circumstances, pharmaceutical companies must ramp up production, do their utmost to ensure supply, and contribute to the decisive battle against the epidemic. With regard to the challenges currently confronting these enterprises, the authorities will actively coordinate resources from all relevant parties, promptly formulate solutions and measures, and help enterprises accelerate production.
