The epidemic is a rallying call, and Party members must take the lead. In recent days, at the production site of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., where workers have been mobilized to support the fight against the epidemic, Party members have steadfastly upheld their original aspirations and fulfilled their mission, demonstrating unwavering confidence and determination to secure a decisive victory in the battle against the pandemic through their enthusiastic dedication and sense of responsibility.

Rong Yanyan, director of the oral dosage-form workshop at Shisi Pharmaceutical, remained on duty throughout this special Spring Festival, overseeing frontline production.

“At a time like this, if not us Party members, who else is going to step up?” On January 29, Rong Yanyan, the workshop director of the oral dosage-form production line for Arbidol capsules at Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical, had red-rimmed eyes and a slightly hoarse voice after several consecutive days of nonstop work. “During the Spring Festival, we’ve been juggling personnel and material coordination on one hand while ramping up production capacity on the other. Currently, daily output has nearly doubled compared with normal days—it’s truly been a grueling stretch.”
Since the outbreak of the novel coronavirus–associated pneumonia, oral dosage-form production at Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical has entered a “wartime mode.” To ensure the timely supply of emergency medicines, the Party Committee of Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical issued an appeal, calling on all Party members to be the most admirable “those who go against the tide” and to play their part and make contributions in the fight to contain and defeat the epidemic.
“As Communist Party members, we must lead by example and withstand this severe test.”
“This is precisely the time for Party members to set an exemplary and leading example; we are both confident and capable of winning this battle.”
……
Following the launch of the initiative, Party members volunteered to go to the front lines of production and marketing to “join the battle.”
“Producing even a little more emergency medication means one more layer of protection for frontline prevention and control efforts, and it gives everyone greater confidence in our ability to defeat the epidemic.” Rong Yanyan is the director of the oral dosage-forms workshop at Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical’s High-tech Industrial Park, and a Party member with five years of membership. Since the outbreak began, she has put aside family reunions, entrusting her young child to her mother-in-law’s care, and promptly reported to work to oversee production.
In the disinfectant production department, most operations are performed manually, requiring workers to bend over for extended periods. By the end of a shift, many employees suffer from sore backs and aching legs; yet none of the Party members on duty—such as Tian Lili, Yang Junhong, and Liu Ning—has ever complained of hardship or fatigue.

“As a Party member, the epidemic is our call to arms—we must charge into the front lines,” said Tian Lili, deputy director of the oral dosage-form workshop and a Party member with 18 years of membership. She has worked in the oral dosage-form sector for nearly 30 years and has fought in major epidemic response efforts, including SARS, H1N1 influenza, and avian influenza.

Li Ligong, Manager of the Storage and Transportation Department at Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical, chose to forgo family reunions during the Spring Festival and worked continuously, doing everything possible to arrange vehicle dispatches. He has now successfully completed the transportation support mission for three batches of medicines destined for Wuhan’s frontline epidemic prevention and control efforts.

There are both battle-hardened “veterans” and green “new recruits.”
Li Ligong, Manager of the Storage and Transportation Department at Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical, joined the Party in December 2016 as a “newcomer.” Following the outbreak, the department—formerly an operational support unit—transformed itself into the front line of emergency assistance, rushing to bolster frontline prevention and control efforts. On January 24, New Year’s Eve, upon receiving an urgent directive to dispatch supplies to the Wuhan epidemic zone, he promptly returned to work and remained on duty for six consecutive days, overseeing the dispatch and transportation of products. His team successfully completed the critical mission of delivering emergency medicines to Wuhan’s frontline medical facilities, earning high praise from clients who commended the company’s “excellent logistics support.”
“At critical moments, a Party member’s political integrity is put to the test—wherever there is a need, we must be there,” said Li Ligong. In recent days, the Storage and Transportation Department team, from Party members to ordinary employees, has responded swiftly to the urgent needs on the front lines of epidemic prevention and control, making silent contributions and putting the original aspiration and mission of pharmaceutical professionals into practice through concrete actions.

Yan Li, Deputy Manager of the Storage and Transportation Department at Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical, remains steadfast at her post to ensure the timely dispatch of emergency medicines.

“Although I, too, have children and elderly family members to care for, I feel it is my duty to step forward so that we can win the battle against the epidemic as quickly as possible.” In the face of the pandemic, Yan Li, a Communist Party member and deputy manager of the Storage and Transportation Department, has likewise made an unwavering commitment: “As long as the epidemic remains uncontrolled, I will not rest for a single day.”
“This invisible battlefield is both a test of Party members’ original aspirations and mission, and a litmus test of the combat effectiveness of the broad ranks of Party members,” said Shi Jianhui, Secretary of the Company’s Party Committee, his expression resolute. “At critical moments, Party members must step forward and charge ahead, faithfully fulfilling the tasks entrusted to us by the Party and the government and by the enterprise, so that the Party flag may fly high on the front lines of pharmaceutical production for epidemic prevention and control!”

To those fighting tirelessly to win the battle against the epidemic
Salutations to all Party members and employees on the production front line!
