On the morning of February 20, Li Xuerong, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shijiazhuang Municipal Committee, Executive Vice Mayor of the Shijiazhuang Municipal People’s Government, Executive Deputy Head of the Municipal Leading Group for COVID-19 Prevention and Control, and Director of the Group’s Office, conducted an inspection tour in the Shijiazhuang Economic and Technological Development Zone. During the visit, she went to enterprises such as Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. to gain first-hand insights into epidemic prevention and control measures as well as the resumption of work and production.

He visited several manufacturing enterprises, including Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., to gain first-hand understanding of their epidemic prevention and control measures as well as their resumption of work and production. He emphasized that, while continuing to implement effective epidemic prevention and control, it is essential to steadily and orderly advance the resumption of business operations and make well-planned arrangements for the next phase of development.
At Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical, he gained a thorough understanding of the production and supply status of the antiviral drug arbidol hydrochloride capsules, as well as the planning and construction of new projects and the R&D of new products. He encouraged the company to operate at full capacity to ensure supply, accelerate project development, and further enhance profitability and long-term growth momentum.
After listening to a briefing on the current progress of work in the Shijiazhuang Economic and Technological Development Zone, Li Xuerong emphasized the need to demonstrate a strong sense of initiative and vigorously advance project construction; to benchmark against established standards and align with the requirements of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government; to streamline institutional mechanisms, accelerate reform, and carefully plan for the next phase of development across all areas.
He emphasized that it remains essential to strengthen scientific and coordinated planning, promote the orderly resumption of work and production by enterprises, rigorously implement all prevention and control measures, enhance internal enterprise management and employee safety education, and further improve workplace safety in key sectors such as hazardous chemicals. At the same time, greater efforts must be made to provide coordinated support and services to help enterprises overcome practical challenges related to financing, transportation, and raw material supply, thereby contributing more to a strong start for the city’s economy.
