Faced with the sudden onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic, over the past several days, medical workers have stepped forward without hesitation, fighting day and night; PLA officers and soldiers have responded promptly to every call, bravely taking on the toughest challenges; and the general public has united as one, standing in solidarity and helping each other. Time and again, moving stories of heroism and inspiring hymns to life have deeply touched and inspired Party members and employees of Shisi Pharmaceutical.
“When the Party calls, we act.” Within less than half an hour, the Second Branch of the Shisi Pharmaceutical Department’s Office mobilized 34 Party members and employees to donate a total of RMB 2,800, which was promptly delivered to the Company’s Party and Mass Work Department. Feng Jiansen, Secretary of the First Branch in the Development Zone and also Director of Workshop 204, took advantage of his brief breaks at work to convey the appeal, prompting frontline Party members and employees to generously contribute their heartfelt support. Meanwhile, Party members such as Yang Huiling, who have been dispatched to the new plant in the Bohai New Area of Cangzhou, also sent donations via WeChat, expressing their unwavering confidence in the fight against the epidemic. Liu Qingping, a staff member of the Quality Control Department, said: “We hope that our modest contributions can provide one more protective gown for medical personnel in the wards, one more mask for residents in the hardest-hit areas, a renewed sense of confidence for patients isolated in the hospital wards, and an extra delicious meal for community volunteers who stand guard day and night.”
In recent days, the vast majority of employees at Shisi Pharmaceutical have channeled the enthusiasm and drive sparked by the fight against the epidemic into both frontline epidemic prevention and control efforts—specifically, the production of emergency medicines such as abidor hydrochloride capsules—and post-restart innovation and development within the company. According to reports, the Medical Supplies Guarantee Group under the State Council Joint Prevention and Control Mechanism for the Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia Epidemic has issued two consecutive “Emergency Task Dispatch Orders” for abidor hydrochloride capsules to Shisi Pharmaceutical, with the first order requiring delivery of the emergency medication in less than 39 hours from receipt. In addition, Shisi Pharmaceutical has donated a total of RMB 2.57 million worth of emergency relief medicines to Wuhan in Hubei Province, the Shennongjia Forestry District, and other regions.
Su Xuejun, Chairman of Shisi Pharmaceutical and Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, stated that combating the epidemic is the responsibility of the entire society as well as the mission of pharmaceutical enterprises.
