Yuan Bingqiang said that in recent days, the first thing he does after arriving at work is to log onto online video recruitment platforms to review candidate profiles and use video calls to promote Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical while engaging in discussions with job seekers. “This approach is practical, boosts efficiency, and cuts costs—truly a win-win for both companies and applicants.”
It’s spring recruitment season once again, with talent acquisition and pandemic control advancing in tandem. As businesses fully resume operations, Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical’s staffing needs continue to grow, driven by the accelerated rollout of both innovative and generic drug portfolios, which in turn calls for a swift infusion of fresh talent into its R&D team.
Starting March 2, the Shijiazhuang Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau launched a month-long large-scale online job fair for enterprises resuming work and production. The human resources department of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical actively leveraged the government’s online platform to set up a dedicated recruitment zone. “This recruitment model can be described as ‘zero-contact cloud recruitment,’” said Yuan Bingqiang. By conducting online communication and negotiations with job seekers—shifting from traditional face-to-face interactions to screen-to-screen meetings—Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical is securing employment commitments on a daily basis, with results that are in no way inferior to those achieved through offline recruitment.
Xiao Liu, a 2019 graduate of Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Shijiazhuang, hopes to return to his hometown to pursue career development. After logging onto Shijiazhuang’s “Large-Scale Online Job Fair for Enterprises Resuming Work and Production,” he found that the positions offered by Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical met his expectations, so he promptly registered online and contacted the company.
Li, a recent graduate of Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, became very interested in the new-product market-development position after seeing Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical’s recruitment announcement. Li promptly submitted a resume and participated in both the preliminary screening and the interview via online video conferencing, ultimately reaching an employment agreement. “‘Cloud recruitment’ is truly convenient—it allows you to look for a job from home,” Li said.
Yuan Bingqiang stated that he has learned domestic universities will begin online dual-selection recruitment activities in mid-to-late March. To attract more high-caliber talent, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical has currently posted job advertisements on the online recruitment platforms of several renowned institutions, including China Pharmaceutical University and Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, to facilitate graduates’ online resume submissions and enable them to prepare in advance for virtual interviews.
Currently, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical has received 166 resumes from recent graduates at 23 universities through its “cloud recruitment” initiative, with 33 candidates having successfully passed the preliminary screening and interviews.
