On July 25, 200,000 boxes containing a total of 2.4 million capsules of the antiviral drug arbidol hydrochloride, manufactured by Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., were successfully airlifted to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, providing critical support in the country’s fight against COVID-19.
On July 25, 200,000 boxes containing a total of 2.4 million capsules of the antiviral drug arbidol hydrochloride, manufactured by Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., were successfully airlifted to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan, providing critical support in the country’s fight against COVID-19.
At present, the global COVID-19 pandemic continues to spread. In response to the evolving epidemic situation abroad, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical, a leading pharmaceutical enterprise, is not only ensuring the domestic supply of epidemic-control medications but also actively mobilizing production capacity to meet international market demand.
On July 17, the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan placed an urgent order with Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical for arbidol hydrochloride capsules—essential anti-epidemic medication. Upon receiving the order, Shijiazhuang Sihua promptly organized inventory preparation and urgently arranged air-freight clearance procedures. Employees from foreign trade, production workshops, quality control, warehousing, and logistics worked in close coordination, operating overtime to complete the export formalities for this shipment in the shortest possible time. On July 21, a container truck loaded with the goods departed Shijiazhuang directly for Shanghai Customs, where the shipment was immediately loaded onto an aircraft bound for Uzbekistan.
According to reports, Arbidol Hydrochloride Capsules are a flagship product of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical and have played a positive role in the prevention and control of COVID-19. On February 19, they were included in the “Diagnosis and Treatment Protocol for Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia (Version 6).”
Currently, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical has reached preliminary agreements with more than 10 international partners for the export of anti-epidemic drugs. The company has already shipped nearly 3 million capsules of arbidol hydrochloride to Russia, Uzbekistan, and several other countries, as well as over 100,000 bottles of hand sanitizer to Australia and other markets.
