Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical’s Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride and Sodium Chloride Injection Has Passed the Consistency Evaluation

Recently, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical’s moxifloxacin hydrochloride and sodium chloride injection was approved by the National Medical Products Administration following the evaluation of generic drug quality and therapeutic equivalence.
Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride and Sodium Chloride Injection is classified as a Category 6 original chemical drug and is included in the National Essential Medicines List. Moxifloxacin is a fourth-generation quinolone antibacterial agent and a next-generation antibiotic with a broad antimicrobial spectrum, primarily indicated for the treatment of various bacterial infections, including pneumonia, pulmonary tuberculosis, endocarditis, conjunctivitis (pink eye), and respiratory tract infections. Earlier this year, Shijiazhuang No. 4 Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. urgently dispatched and donated moxifloxacin hydrochloride and sodium chloride injection, arbidol hydrochloride capsules, and other antibacterial and antiviral medications to Wuhan, Hubei Province, the Shennongjia Forestry District, and other areas, playing a positive role in clinical patient care.
According to available information, as of now, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical has had seven products—fluconazole tablets (50 mg and 150 mg), prucalopride succinate tablets (1 mg and 2 mg), cefdinir capsules (0.1 mg), rosuvastatin calcium tablets (10 mg), doxofylline injection, ropivacaine hydrochloride injection, and moxifloxacin hydrochloride sodium chloride injection—totaling nine dosage forms, pass the National Evaluation of Quality and Therapeutic Equivalence for Generic Drugs or be deemed to have passed such an evaluation. The person in charge stated that the company will continue to accelerate the R&D of generic drugs and advance research on the evaluation of generic drug consistency, thereby creating room and opportunities to build a new product portfolio structure and adapt to evolving market demands.
