On May 13, the second session of the training program for newly elected deputies to the 13th Hebei Provincial People’s Congress was inaugurated at Hebei Normal University. More than 240 deputies to the 13th Hebei Provincial People’s Congress, along with leading officials from the standing committees of people’s congresses at the city and county levels, representing seven electoral districts including Baoding and Cangzhou, took part in the training. Su Xuejun, a deputy to the Hebei Provincial People’s Congress and General Manager of the Group Company as well as President of Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical, also attended the training. This training program adopted a combined approach featuring thematic lectures, presentations on experience in performing official duties, and interactive panel discussions. Officials from relevant departments of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and the Standing Committee of the Hebei Provincial People’s Congress, together with experts from the Hebei Academy of Administration, were invited to deliver talks on the system of people’s congresses, laws and regulations, and the performance of deputies’ duties, among other topics.

Officials from relevant departments of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress and the Standing Committee of the Hebei Provincial People’s Congress, as well as experts from the Hebei Academy of Administration, have been invited to deliver specialized briefings on the system of people’s congresses, laws and regulations, and the performance of deputies’ duties. In addition, outstanding re-elected deputies have been invited to share their experiences in fulfilling their responsibilities.
According to the briefing, this year marks the first time that the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress has collaborated with higher education institutions to conduct training for deputies, thereby achieving full coverage of initial training for deputies to the 13th Provincial People’s Congress.
