On August 9, Gong Xiaofeng, Director of the Hebei Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, visited Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, accompanied by Zhan Peng, a member of the Party Leadership Group of the Shijiazhuang Municipal Government. During the visit, Director Gong reviewed the progress of the company’s industrial investment and technological upgrading projects, urged and guided the enterprise in implementing epidemic prevention and control measures, and solicited the company’s views and suggestions on the current performance of the industrial economy as well as on industrial investment and technological upgrading investment.

Gong Xiaofeng and his delegation conducted an on-site visit to the new formulation and biopharmaceutical industrial park project of Hebei Guolong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Group, gaining a detailed understanding of the project’s progress and its industrial advantages. Construction on the project commenced in March 2020, with a total investment of RMB 1 billion. The facility will primarily produce specialty active pharmaceutical ingredients, innovative drugs, and high-end generic medications, and upon completion will bolster the company’s high-quality development. Gong Xiaofeng encouraged the company to strengthen collaboration with world-leading R&D institutions and industry leaders, integrate upstream and downstream operations, extend the industrial chain, and move toward the mid- to high-end segments.

During their research visit to the Group, Gong Xiaofeng and his delegation held a symposium with key corporate leaders, including Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the Board of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group; Su Xuejun, Chairman of the Group; and Wu Hengyao, President. They carefully listened to the enterprises’ suggestions and recommendations for advancing industrial development, sought detailed information on relevant matters, and engaged in in-depth discussions on several issues, creating a lively and enthusiastic atmosphere on site.

Gong Xiaofeng pointed out that it is essential to thoroughly implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping’s important instructions and directives, as well as the spirit of the July 30 meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee; to ground ourselves in the new stage of development; to fully, accurately, and comprehensively apply the new development philosophy; to serve and integrate into the new development paradigm; to earnestly carry out the decisions and arrangements of the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial Government; to support enterprises in stepping up technological upgrading and industrial investment; and to help promote industrial transformation and upgrading. We must link efforts to solve enterprises’ difficulties with the study and education on the history of the Party, conduct the practical activity “Doing Practical Things for the People and Solving Difficulties for Enterprises” in a solid and thorough manner, carefully compile lists of problems, adhere to a results- and goal-oriented approach, establish a three-tier enterprise assistance mechanism at the provincial, city, and county levels, implement tailored assistance measures for each enterprise, create a better business environment, and provide strong support for achieving high-quality development of the province’s manufacturing sector.

Relevant officials from the Planning Division, Comprehensive Division, Operations Monitoring and Coordination Bureau, Equipment Industry Division, and Consumer Goods Industry Division of the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, as well as relevant officials from the Shijiazhuang Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology and Gaocheng District, attended the research visit.
