【概要描述】 “The whole year’s plan starts in spring.” On March 2, with a gentle breeze and bright sunshine, the construction site of the New-Formulation and Biopharmaceutical Industrial Park project at Hebei Guolong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., part of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, was alive with activity, dotted with towering cranes and bustling with energetic construction.

“The whole year’s plan begins in spring.” On March 2, with a gentle breeze and bright sunshine, the construction site of the New-Formulation and Biopharmaceutical Industrial Park project at Hebei Guolong Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., part of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, was alive with activity, dotted with towering cranes. Zhao Yongzheng, Executive President of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group and in charge of the project, remarked with emotion: “At present, our city has launched a new wave of high-priority project construction. As a leading pharmaceutical enterprise, we will seize this development opportunity, accelerate the progress of infrastructure projects, strive for early completion and early realization of benefits, and do our utmost to contribute to the city’s goal of surpassing RMB 1 trillion in economic output.”

The Guolong Pharmaceutical New-Formulation and Biopharmaceutical Industrial Park project covers approximately 155 mu of land and is planned to have a total floor area of 130,000 square meters. Leveraging the locational advantages and industrial clustering of the Shijiazhuang Economic and Technological Development Zone, the project is being developed by Shisi Pharmaceutical Group to meet world-class pharmaceutical standards, creating a high-standard, high-quality, and modern pharmaceutical industrial park with an international outlook. It also serves as a strategic pillar for Shisi Pharmaceutical Group’s “14th Five-Year Plan” period—accelerating transformation and upgrading, achieving leapfrog development, and building a company with revenues of RMB 20 billion—and is designated as a key provincial, municipal, and district-level project.

"On the sixth day of the first lunar month, we kicked off the project’s final sprint, with nearly 100 workers working around the clock on the front lines. To date, the finished-product automated storage and retrieval system and the main structure of the power workshop have been completed, while construction of the specialty API production workshops is in full swing and is scheduled to be commissioned sequentially within the year."

Zhao Yongzheng stated that, in response to the evolving market landscape, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group’s Guolong Pharmaceutical has placed innovation at the core of its strategy, accelerating the development of an integrated industry–university–research–application production innovation hub centered on “specialty APIs plus formulations.” The company is prioritizing the enhancement of growth quality and efficiency, resulting in a steady stream of innovative achievements that continuously infuse fresh vitality into its development. At the end of last year, it was recognized as a provincial specialized, refined, distinctive, and innovative SME and a demonstration enterprise for such characteristics, thereby joining the ranks of high-tech enterprises.

“We have currently developed more than 30 specialty API products, with 17—including tenofovir disoproxil fumarate—already approved. These specialty products are highly sought after: over 20 formulation manufacturers are engaged in in-depth collaboration with us, and the market outlook is extremely promising. Even during the Spring Festival, we have had to maintain production; for instance, one kilogram of our specialty API terbutaline sulfate is valued at several hundred thousand yuan, yet supply falls far short of demand.”

“Building to high standards is about ‘paving the way and building bridges’ for the successful commercialization of new products,” said Zhao Yongzheng. He added that the project will be developed in accordance with international standards, utilizing the most advanced production equipment both domestically and internationally, and seamlessly integrating intelligent manufacturing with cutting-edge production processes to create a model green factory that is distinctive, environmentally friendly and safe, and characterized by intensive operation and high efficiency.

“The blueprint has been drawn, and the time to build is now.” Watching the encouraging progress of the project, Zhao Yongzheng expressed even greater anticipation: “With the strong support of our city and Gaocheng District, we will press ahead with unwavering determination, accelerate project construction, and strive to make a pioneering breakthrough in our city’s biopharmaceutical industry.”
