On September 19, following the launch of the “Carry Reform and Opening-Up Through to the End” public outreach campaign jointly organized by the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the All-China Federation of Trade Unions, the CYLC Central Committee, and the All-China Women’s Federation, the first national publicity delegation—comprising seven exemplary figures, including Wang Yong, a role model of our times; Yu Liufen, an Outstanding Communist Party Member nationwide; Xue Ying, a National Moral Model; Xu Liping, recipient of the National May Day Labor Medal; Han Xiao, recipient of the China Youth May Fourth Medal; Wang Liping, a National March 8th Red Banner Pioneer; and Li Qingkun, a member of China’s sixth peacekeeping guard detachment to Mali—arrived in Hebei Province to deliver reports and conduct outreach activities.

To gain a firsthand understanding of the achievements of the 40-year reform and opening-up drive, members of the publicity delegation visited the company accompanied by Zhang Xingang, Deputy Director of the Publicity Department of the CYC Central Committee. Shi Jianhui, Secretary of the Party Committee of the company, extended a warm welcome and engaged in an in-depth exchange on the company’s remarkable, leapfrog development since the advent of reform and opening-up.
Upon entering the company’s exhibition hall, they learned that over the past 70 years of development, the company has grown from nothing to a strong, leading enterprise—particularly since the advent of reform and opening-up 40 years ago. During this period, China’s pharmaceutical industry has expanded and strengthened, bringing about profound changes. The company itself has progressed through stages of exploration and practice, learning from others, and independent innovation, before entering a new era of leapfrog growth. This journey has enabled the members of the publicity team to appreciate the innovation and vitality that reform and opening-up have brought to enterprises.
According to reports, the “Carry Forward Reform and Opening-up to the End” public outreach campaign is an important component of the mass-themed publicity and education activities marking the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up. Its aim is to thoroughly promote and implement Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. By conducting extensive public lectures across urban and rural areas nationwide, the campaign engages cadres and the general public in sharing real-life stories—featuring real people, real events, and genuine emotions—about the changes in their lives and their struggles amid the great tide of reform and opening-up. These narratives highlight concrete actions and positive attitudes in studying and implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and in dedicating oneself to the great practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era. They also showcase the sense of gain and accomplishment experienced by the people since the launch of reform and opening-up, particularly since the 18th National Congress of the Party, thereby inspiring and guiding the broad masses to rally even more closely around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, firmly uphold the “Four Consciousnesses,” continuously strengthen the “Four Confidences,” remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind, strive unremittingly, and courageously embark on the Long March of the new era, so as to carry forward reform and opening-up to the very end.
