On March 10, Deng Xiaomei, Vice Chair of the Shijiazhuang Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, visited and conducted research at Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, a enterprise under her designated liaison system, and held a symposium with the experts, talents, and CPPCC members she is in contact with. Han Shuqin, a member of the Municipal CPPCC and Executive President of the Group, and Sun Lijie, Executive President of the Group and General Manager of the R&D Center, attended the visit and symposium.

Deng Xiaomei conducted an on-site visit to the R&D Center of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, where she engaged in cordial exchanges with experts, talented professionals, and members of the committee. She carefully inquired about their work and living conditions and expressed full recognition of the company’s remarkable achievements in scientific research and innovation as well as in production and operations.

During the symposium, Deng Xiaomei carefully listened to the views and suggestions of experts, scholars, and members on issues such as Shijiazhuang’s business environment, technological innovation, and talent development.

This year marks the inaugural year for fully implementing the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, as well as a pivotal year for Shijiazhuang to propel its economic aggregate beyond RMB 1 trillion, achieve leapfrog development, and showcase its achievements. The two emerging industries—next-generation information electronics and biopharmaceuticals—are entrusted with the critical mission of taking the lead in breaking new ground. Deng Xiaomei emphasized the need to thoroughly solicit the opinions and suggestions of experts and talented individuals, effectively implement relevant policies, strengthen various service and support measures, optimize the working environment, and foster a robust culture that respects, cherishes, and nurtures talent. It is essential to advance the development of industrial parks, building high-standard, cost-effective parks with robust supporting service capabilities to enhance their capacity to host major projects. We must remain innovation-driven, intensify research and development, increase R&D investment, unleash the innovative vitality of talent, and accelerate the commercialization of scientific and technological achievements. While continuing to attract investment, we should place even greater emphasis on cultivating, around existing local projects, a cohort of initiatives that extend, supplement, and strengthen industrial chains, thereby achieving integrated development among the innovation chain, industrial chain, and talent chain and making new contributions to pushing the city’s economic aggregate past RMB 1 trillion and realizing leapfrog growth.
