Good news arrives with the spring breeze: on March 17, theobromine, submitted by Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, was approved by the National Medical Products Administration for registration as an active pharmaceutical ingredient for use in marketed dosage forms. This marks the third API approved for the Group this year—following tinidazole and doxofylline—and the eleventh new product overall.
Spring brings good news: on March 17, theobromine, submitted by Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, was approved by the National Medical Products Administration for registration as an active pharmaceutical ingredient for use in marketed dosage forms. This marks the group’s third API approval this year—following tinidazole and doxofylline—and its 11th new product overall.
It is reported that theophylline is primarily indicated for diuresis, cardiac stimulation, vasodilation, and smooth muscle relaxation.
