Recently, Gao Yunxiao, Vice Chair of the Standing Committee of the Hebei Provincial People’s Congress and Director of the Finance and Economic Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress, led a delegation to Shijiazhuang to conduct a fact-finding mission focusing on the preliminary review of the implementation of this year’s plans and budgets, as well as the mid-term evaluation of the implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan Outline. Li Zhiyong, Vice Chair of the Standing Committee of the Shijiazhuang Municipal People’s Congress, accompanied the delegation during the visit.
Recently, Gao Yunxiao, Vice Chair of the Standing Committee of the Hebei Provincial People’s Congress and Director of the Finance and Economic Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress, led a research delegation to Shijiazhuang to conduct an inspection focusing on the preliminary review of the implementation of this year’s plans and budgets, as well as the mid-term evaluation of the implementation of the 14th Five-Year Plan Outline. Li Zhiyong, Vice Chair of the Standing Committee of the Shijiazhuang Municipal People’s Congress, accompanied the delegation during the visit.
The research team visited Zhengding County and the Shijiazhuang High-tech Industrial Development Zone, focusing on the development of the biopharmaceutical industry. They conducted on-site inspections at Rubber One Co., Ltd., Shiyao Group, and the Research Institute of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, gaining an in-depth understanding of the R&D, manufacturing, and sales of pharmaceuticals and medical devices. The team also thoroughly inquired about the implementation of policies supporting the development of the biopharmaceutical industry, as well as the challenges and needs faced by enterprises in their operations.
During a research visit to the Research Institute of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, Group President Wu Hengyao provided a detailed briefing to Gao Yunxiao and his delegation on the company’s R&D innovation, business development, and future plans. In recent years, the Group has maintained a forward-looking industrial perspective, steadfastly pursued innovation-driven growth, and taken it as its mission to meet national strategic needs. By fully leveraging innovative resources and significantly increasing R&D investment, the Group has achieved leading positions nationwide in both the number of applications filed and approvals obtained for high-end, complex generic drugs and specialty APIs, thereby solidifying its competitive edge in industrial development and continuously driving high-quality growth.
Gao Yunxiao commended the Group for its remarkable achievements in seizing opportunities and advancing industrial transformation and upgrading. He pointed out that the biopharmaceutical industry is a strategic emerging industry of paramount importance to the national economy, people’s livelihood, and national security. Shijiazhuang boasts a solid foundation and distinct advantages in the pharmaceutical sector, with a relatively complete industrial chain now in place. In recent years, driven by innovation and green development, the biopharmaceutical industry has undergone rapid transformation and upgrading. During his inspection tour of our province, General Secretary Xi Jinping issued important instructions on the development of the biopharmaceutical industry, providing clear guidance for our industrial development and injecting strong momentum into our efforts to pursue innovation and entrepreneurship. We must remain firmly confident and resolute, conscientiously implement industrial development policies, continuously optimize the business environment, and provide effective support and guarantees for further strengthening scientific and technological innovation and enhancing enterprises’ production and manufacturing capabilities.
