On September 21, the Innovation Research Institute of Hebei University of Technology, together with a team of experts from the Institute of Biophysics at the same university, conducted a fact-finding visit to Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group to promote the deep integration of industry, academia, and research. The delegation was led by An Hailong, Director of the Innovation Research Institute and Director of the Institute of Biophysics, and Xing Chengfen, Vice Dean of the College of Life Science and Health Engineering at Hebei University of Technology and Deputy Director of the Institute of Biophysics, along with other relevant scholars and experts. Sun Lijie and Tian Pengmei, senior leaders of the group, accompanied the delegation throughout the visit and facilitated exchanges.

Experts and scholars from Hebei University of Technology visited the Group’s R&D Center and engaged in in-depth discussions with relevant Group executives on topics related to innovative drug development and the alignment of university–enterprise collaboration projects.
During the symposium, An Hailong provided a detailed overview of the Hebei University of Technology Innovation Research Institute, covering areas such as technological innovation, the commercialization of research outcomes, and talent recruitment and development, and engaged in in-depth discussions with Group leaders, including Sun Lijie, on potential avenues for collaboration in the field of innovative drugs.
Sun Lijie stated that the Group boasts a high-caliber research and development platform and expressed the hope that the university and the enterprise will join forces in attracting talent to the company, facilitating the incubation and implementation of projects, and overcoming critical technological bottlenecks. By doing so, promising young talents will be able to accelerate their growth in Sihua Pharmaceutical’s fertile R&D environment, while more research achievements will better serve national development and the health needs of the people.
According to available information, the Innovation Research Institute of Hebei University of Technology (Shijiazhuang) is a new type of R&D institution established as a non-tenured public institution jointly by Hebei University of Technology, the Shijiazhuang Municipal People’s Government, and the Luquan District People’s Government. The institute is designed to align with the industrial cluster development needs of Shijiazhuang City, leverage the university’s strengths in talent, disciplines, and geographic location, and focus on three key areas: next-generation electronic information, biopharmaceuticals, and high-end equipment manufacturing. It aims to promote the deep integration of industrial chains, innovation chains, and talent pipelines, infuse enterprises with innovative capabilities, and provide services to enhance the quality and upgrade the competitiveness of industries.
