Du Shengyi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Lanzhou University; Professor Liang Yongmin, Dean of the School; Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group; and Group executives Wu Hengyao, Meng Guo, Sun Lijie, and Tian Pengmei attended the signing and unveiling ceremony.

On the morning of November 5, the signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation agreement between Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group and Lanzhou University, together with the unveiling of the Practice, Internship, and Employment Base of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Lanzhou University, was held at the Group’s R&D Center. This milestone marks a deepening of collaboration between the two parties in areas such as industrial cooperation, talent development, and the joint construction and sharing of platforms, with the aim of jointly elevating high-level talent cultivation, innovative drug research and development, and the industrialization of high-end pharmaceuticals to new heights. Du Shengyi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Lanzhou University; Liang Yongmin, Dean and Professor of the school; Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group; and Group leaders Wu Hengyao, Meng Guo, Sun Lijie, and Tian Pengmei attended the signing and unveiling ceremony.

Qu Jiguang extended a warm welcome to Du Shengyi and his delegation, and provided an overview of the Group’s 75-year development journey. He highlighted how, in recent years, the Group has been driven by innovation, deepened reforms of its research management system, intensified talent recruitment, and strengthened collaboration between universities and enterprises, thereby achieving significant results in fostering innovative, high-quality development. Qu noted that the fundamental and applied research areas of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Lanzhou University are highly aligned with the industrial development priorities of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group. He expressed the hope that, through deeper strategic cooperation, the intellectual strengths of Lanzhou University—as a “think tank” and “policy advisory body”—can be closely integrated with Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group’s strengths as an “incubator for industrial innovation” and an “educational practice base,” so as to deliver new, pragmatic outcomes that empower collaborative, high-quality innovation between the university and the enterprise and make further, greater contributions to the building of a Healthy China.

Du Shengyi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Lanzhou University, provided a detailed overview of Lanzhou University and its School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, focusing on areas such as scientific and technological innovation, the commercialization of research outcomes, and the recruitment and development of talent. He stated that the school boasts a strong and highly competent teaching and research team, renowned both domestically and internationally for cultivating high-quality professionals and producing cutting-edge research achievements, thereby establishing itself as a key national hub for the training of advanced talent and for conducting high-level scientific research in chemistry and chemical engineering in the western region. The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group each bring unique strengths in intellectual resources, talent, industry, and platforms; the two institutions will further strengthen their university–enterprise collaboration by innovating cooperation models, building diversified platforms, and working together to undertake in-depth partnerships in such areas as major scientific and technological breakthroughs, the cultivation of high-end talent, and the industrial application of research results, thus setting a new benchmark for university–enterprise cooperation and jointly ensuring that more research findings serve national development and the health needs of the people.

Professor Liang Yongmin, Dean of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Lanzhou University, and Sun Lijie, Executive President of the Group and General Manager of the R&D Center, signed the strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of the university and the enterprise, respectively. Du Shengyi, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Lanzhou University, and Qu Jiguang, Chairman of the Group’s Board of Directors, jointly unveiled the plaque for the “Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group–Lanzhou University School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Base for Practical Training, Internship, and Employment.”

Following the signing and unveiling ceremony, the university and the enterprise engaged in in-depth discussions on talent recruitment and development as well as collaborative research projects. Prior to the ceremony, Du Shengyi, Liang Yongmin, and their delegation visited and inspected the Group’s R&D Center.
