2024 Summer “Action-Oriented Program”: Peking University Students Conduct Research Visit to Guangxiang Pharmaceutical, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group

Recently, the Hebei Cangzhou Service Team of Peking University’s 2024 Summer “Action-Oriented Program” visited Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group to conduct a research project focused on “the comprehensive development and construction of Huanghua Port and the promotion of the development of a full industrial chain centered on the port.”
Recently, the Hebei Cangzhou Service Team of Peking University’s 2024 Summer “Action-Oriented Program” visited Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group to conduct a research study on “the comprehensive development and construction of Huanghua Port and the promotion of the development of a full industrial chain centered on the port.”
Under the guidance of officials from relevant departments of the Cangzhou Lingang Economic Development Zone, members of Peking University’s 2024 Summer “Action-Oriented Initiative” Hebei Cangzhou Service Team conducted an in-depth visit to Guangxiang Pharmaceutical. They toured the central control room to gain an understanding of the operation of the pharmaceutical production control system and then visited the R&D center’s laboratories, where they heard a briefing on how the company is seizing the strategic opportunities presented by the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei coordinated development initiative and accelerating its integrated “API-plus-formulation” development.
The Peking University students who participated in the research visit highly commended Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Group for its innovation-driven approach, its steadfast commitment to the new development philosophy, its vigorous promotion of new-quality productive forces, its continuous optimization of its product portfolio, and its sustained enhancement of the resilience and vitality of its API business—particularly the remarkable achievements it has attained in technological innovation, low-carbon production, intelligent manufacturing, and the exploration and implementation of product internationalization. At the same time, in light of the industrial-chain development within the Lingang New Area, the students engaged in discussions with relevant executives from Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Group on topics such as industrial-policy support and environmental protection and governance, thereby gaining a deeper and more direct understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and enterprise development in the Lingang region.
According to reports, Peking University’s 2024 Summer “Lixing Program” is a social practice initiative organized during the summer break for Peking University students. It is designed to deepen the study and implementation of the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, closely align with the fundamental task of fostering virtue and cultivating talent, and guide Peking University youth to keep the nation’s interests at heart, stay attuned to national priorities and people’s livelihoods, respond to local needs, go deep into grassroots communities, seek guidance from cadres and the general public, and truly understand the “textbook of national conditions,” the “textbook of grassroots work,” and the “textbook of the people” through practical experience—thereby answering the “mission exam” with excellence.
