On July 23, the epinephrine hydrochloride active pharmaceutical ingredient submitted by Hebei Guangxiang Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group, was approved by the National Medical Products Administration and registered as an API for use in marketed dosage forms. Since the beginning of this year, the group has secured approval for a total of 17 new specialty APIs.

Previously, the group’s series of active pharmaceutical ingredients, including epinephrine, isopropyl epinephrine hydrochloride, and norepinephrine bitartrate, have been successively approved.
According to available information, phenylephrine hydrochloride is primarily used to treat hypotension caused by vasodilation during anesthesia.
In recent years, Shijiazhuang Sihua Pharmaceutical Group has accelerated the expansion of its innovative, high-performance ecosystem for integrated API–formulation development, resulting in an increasingly robust and diversified product pipeline. Since the beginning of this year, the company has secured approval for 56 new high-end, specialty generic drugs and APIs—exceeding the figure for the same period last year—thereby maintaining its industry-leading position and providing strong impetus for accelerated corporate growth.
